My vote is that it is an experience. An object in and of itself cannot be art until it is experienced and brings about a response of some sort. As with everything else there are varying levels of art. For me, great art must include skill/craftsmanship, originality, mass appeal, timelessness and depth( in the sense that it evokes complex responses)I want to create great art........ for me. Then for my friends and family. I know how I respond &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;to &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:arial;"&gt;my work, what I am curious about is how others respond. I'm not fishing for compliments( though they certainly don't hurt!) I truly don't  know whether anyone out there gets anything from these images. Sometimes( as in this first post) I will have a collection of images. Most of the time though, I will only have single images.
