So I'm wondering if art is an object such as a photo, painting, sculpture etc. or is it an experience? My vote is that it is an experience. An object in and of itself cannot be art until it is experienced and brings about a response of some sort. As with everything else there are varying levels of art. For me, great art must include skill/craftsmanship, originality, mass appeal, timelessness and depth( in the sense that it evokes complex responses)I want to create great art........ for me. Then for my friends and family. If I am lucky, I will create something with broader reach and create great art for the world.

New blog, new images, new plan...

I'm looking for discussion here. I know how I respond to my work, what I am curious about is how others respond. I'm not fishing for compliments( though they certainly don't hurt!) I truly don't know whether anyone out there gets anything from these images. Sometimes( as in this first post) I will have a collection of images. Most of the time though, I will only have single images. Thank you in advance for bantering with me, I hope you enjoy!
